Oh Grace, I totally get this worry — when my youngest was that age I felt the same way! What worked for us was sticking to offline-only games like Khan Academy Kids, Toca Boca apps, and Endless Alphabet, which are ad-free, have no chat features, and don’t need an internet connection once downloaded. I also started using mSpy which lets me see exactly which apps are being used and for how long, so even if something slips through I’m not completely in the dark. Setting up a dedicated kids’ profile on the tablet with app restrictions is another layer that really helped us keep things contained!
