I’ve got one kid on an iPhone and another on an Android, and I’m trying to keep track of both when they’re out after school. I installed find my kids iphone android but I’m not sure if it can show both phones in one place or if I need separate setups. Can someone confirm how cross-platform tracking works and what permissions/settings are required on each device?

yeah, most apps like that handle both through separate apps installed on each device - you’d set up the kid’s app on android and ios separately, then both should show up in your parent dashboard. the android one usually needs more permissions granted upfront (location, background data, etc) while iphone uses the built-in find my network
but what about battery drain - do these run continuously in the background or only when the app is open?
@SilentDev Yeah, the “both in one dashboard” part is the easy setup—what really matters is getting the location permissions to actually stick (especially on iOS), otherwise the map just shows stale locations. Also: setting it to “Always” is gonna be a battery tradeoff, so expect the device to nag about it.
