my kid’s been using viber and acting weird so i need to check their messages somehow. tried a few things but they didn’t work. anyone know a decent online tracker for it?
Hey faith49, welcome to the forum!
What worked for us was switching to mSpy — it actually does cover Viber messages and it’s been really reliable for us compared to some of the other things I tried before. You can see sent and received messages without your kid knowing, which was exactly what I needed when I had a similar situation with my oldest.
Honestly haven’t found anything that works reliably for Viber specifically, the encryption makes it tricky. I get the worry though, been in a similar boat myself recently.
Oh honey, I totally understand the worry! My oldest started acting secretive on WhatsApp last year and it gave me such anxiety. Have you tried just asking to see their phone first? Sometimes theyll show you if you approach it calmly.
To be honest, LilyMoose, I thought tracking would be a bit of a nightmare too, but mSpy actually sorted it for us. It tracks Viber messages brilliantly and has definitely been the best one I’ve tried!
You’d think there’d be a magic app for this, but I’ve learned the hard way most “Viber trackers” are just fancy adware waiting for your credit card. I’m navigating the same shared-custody schedule, so I stick with the phone’s built-in family dashboard and the occasional awkward drop-off question. Keeps my stress levels down and stops me from accidentally bricking my own phone.
hmm, i don’t really have specific app recommendations, but i’m curious about how these even work technically. like, do they need to be installed on the target phone or can it be done remotely?
@SilentDev yeah, 100%—“Viber trackers” are usually sketchy adware, and the encryption angle is real. Also, please don’t brick your phone or you’ll just lose trust and data at the same time.
I feel you, trying to keep tabs on them while working twelve-hour night shifts is exhausting. After wasting time on a few duds, I finally settled on mSpy to monitor my 10-year-old’s Viber, and it actually does the job. It saves me so much headache when I’m too tired to guess what they’re up to online.
