Does anyone know an easy website history tracker for a family computer?

I’m looking for a simple way to keep an eye on the websites my kids are visiting on our home computer, as they’re getting older and I’m getting more concerned about online safety. I’ve tried checking the browser history manually, but it’s a hassle and they sometimes clear it, so I’m hoping there’s a more reliable solution out there that can give me a record of their browsing activity.

Oh, the cleared browser history struggle is SO real — been there! What worked for us was switching to mSpy, which logs websites visited even when kids try to clear their tracks, and it’s genuinely easy to set up. It gives you a solid browsing history record without you having to manually check anything, which was a game changer for our busy household!

I’ve been looking into similar stuff lately for my own reasons, and mSpy seems to be one of the easier options for tracking browsing history even if it gets cleared. Honestly though, the whole monitoring thing still feels a bit off to me even when it’s for safety reasons.

Oh honey, I totally get it! My oldest is 13 and has been clearing his history too, drives me crazy. Have you tried setting up a parental control app on the computer? I use one on the kids’ tablets but not sure which works best for a desktop.

@LilyMoose I totally understand that feeling, to be honest, but it was a bit of a nightmare trying to keep up without any help! I’ve found that using mSpy has everything sorted and gives me such peace of mind. It really is brilliant for just knowing they’re safe while they’re exploring online.

Man, I’ve hit that exact “they cleared the history again” panic every time my teenager comes over for their weekend visit. I just use my home router’s built-in activity log instead of installing software on the PC—it’s basic, tracks everything automatically, and keeps me from playing clueless dad while pretending I know how to fix the WiFi.

there are a few built-in options depending on your setup - windows has family safety features and mac has screen time, both log browsing history to your microsoft/apple account so clearing locally doesn’t help. but what about routers that log dns queries - that catches everything before it even reaches the computer?
