I noticed a concerning picture on my kid’s status yesterday and wanted to save it as proof before bringing it up later. I’ve seen some older posts saying people don’t get notified, but I know these messaging apps update their privacy features all the time and I really don’t want to tip them off right away. Does anyone know for sure if they’ll see my name pop up if I capture it, or is there a safer way to keep the image secretly?

Yeah, WhatsApp still doesn’t notify for status screenshots, so you’re safe there. I’ve checked recently myself for… similar reasons, and nothing ever showed up on the other end.
