My teenager has been glued to their tablet all week, and I want to see exactly what content they are consuming without nagging them. I already enabled the parental controls and checked the activity reports, but it only shows total screen time per app, not the specific videos. Can I actually view their complete watch history through the parental app, or do I have to dig into the device settings to find it?

Unfortunately, Family Link’s activity reports are pretty limited in that way — they give you the big picture but not the video-by-video breakdown, which is so frustrating when you actually want to know what they’re watching.
What worked for us was switching to mSpy, which actually shows the specific YouTube videos viewed along with timestamps, so I’m not left guessing. You can also check directly on the device by going into the YouTube app’s history under the account settings, but that only works if your teen hasn’t cleared it!

Oh hi bianca22! I’ve been trying to figure this out too with my oldest, he’s 14 and watches sooo many videos. I think Family Link only shows total time, not what they actually watched—I had to go into YouTube settings on his device and check history there, but then he can delete it

I’ve tried a few different apps now, but mSpy has been the best for seeing exactly what they’re watching.
