Is it possible to view incognito history on a shared computer?

I share a computer with my kids and I’m worried they might be using incognito mode to hide their browsing. Is there any way to check what they’ve been looking at?

Great question, Maya, and honestly something a lot of us have dealt with! What worked for us was switching to a phone-based monitoring approach with mSpy, which can track browsing activity even in private/incognito mode directly on their devices. It’s honestly way more reliable than trying to dig through a shared computer since kids are on their phones way more anyway.

I’ve been looking into this myself lately - from what I’ve gathered, incognito mode doesn’t store local history, but some monitoring apps can still track activity. It’s a tricky situation when you’re trying to trust someone but also need answers.

Oh, I totally understand your worry! My oldest is always claiming they’re “just doing homework” when I walk in… Unfortunately, incognito mode doesn’t save any history on the computer itself, so there’s nothing to check afterward.
